HOPKINSVILLE, KY – Dogs and cats of all ages, breeds, sizes are waiting to be adopted at the Christian County Animal Shelter. The shelter is at 2935 Russellville Road, and the phone number is 270-887-4175. Business hours are Tuesday-Saturday from 10:30 a.m.-4 p.m. and the shelter is closed for lunch from 12:30-1 p.m.
Here are two animals the shelter recommends this week for adoption:
Meet Bean! This handsome boy is a ten-month-old orange tabby domestic shorthair cat, and he is currently searching for his forever home! Bean was owner released to the shelter with his sister because their owners had allergies and could no longer keep them. Bean is a sweet boy, he loves cats and dogs and everything in between! He has done fantastic using his litterbox and should have no problem keeping his new home clean! Bean also does wonderful with children, he is the perfect family pet! Bean is FIV/FLV/HW NEGATIVE, is UTD on vaccines, and is neutered! Come adopt sweet Bean today! Bean’s adoption fee is $40!
Meet Thor. He is an 6 month old Australian Cattle Dog/Rottweiler mix that was brought to the shelter as a stray, he was then adopted and returned because of landlord refusal. We are unsure if he has ever been around other dogs, cats or children as he was a stray and his new owners did not let us know, but he is the perfect age to begin socialization with everything! He has been house trained and doesn’t have many accidents in the home! He has been given his first two rounds of vaccines, is current on his rabies and will be neutered before going home! He is now ready to find his new furr-ever home! This sweet boy just wants a family that will take him for lots of car rides and play with his favorite rope toys with him! Come adopt him today!
