HOPKINSVILLE, KY – Dogs and cats of all ages, breeds, sizes are waiting to be adopted at the Christian County Animal Shelter. The shelter is at 2935 Russellville Road, and the phone number is 270-887-4175. Business hours are Tuesday-Saturday from 10:30 a.m.-4 p.m. and the shelter is closed for lunch from 12:30-1 p.m.

The pretty lady is back! Meet Gracie Mae! This lovable lady is a six-year-old calico domestic shorthair, and she’s eagerly waiting on her forever home! Gracie Mae was owner released to the shelter due to her owners having allergies, despite missing her once lavish life Gracie excited for the new adventure of finding her forever family! Gracie Mae does great with other cats, she’s a total sweetheart! Despite her friendly demeanor, Gracie isn’t the biggest fan of dogs, so she’d do best in a dog free home! This sweet girl is a pro-snuggle-bug, so if you’ve got kiddos this is the kitty for you! Gracie Mae is fully litterbox trained and keeps a tidy kennel, so if you’re looking for a sweet and clean roommate, this is the girl! Gracie is FIV/FLV/HW NEGATIVE, vaccinated, and ready to make her way into her forever family’s hearts!
Meet Agatha! This lovely lass is a seventeen-week-old Cattle Dog mix puppy, and she is hoping you might make her a part of your forever family! Agatha was owner released to the shelter because her family could no longer care for her, now this sweet baby is available for adoption! Agatha is outgoing and playful; she has lots of energy and would make a great playmate for a home with children! This sweet girl has already done great around the dogs she’s been kenneled with and may even adjust to cat friends given time and patience! We do not know if Agatha is house, or crate trained, but with some treats and training, she’ll have it down quickly! Agatha is UTD on vaccinations and weighs 19 pounds!
