Robert Allen “Bud” Kennedy, 94, of Hopkinsville, Kentucky died at 4:17 a.m., Saturday, September 9, 2023 at Jennie Stuart Medical Center in Hopkinsville, Kentucky.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, September 12, 2023 at Hughart, Beard & Giles Funeral Home with Rev. Jack Ashley officiating. Burial will follow in Green Hill Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 12:00 p.m. until the service hour at 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Hughart, Beard & Giles Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
A native of Granite City, Illinois he was born on August 20, 1929 the son of the late Robert Henry Kennedy and Leona Hargrove Kennedy.
He was a self-employed farmer and carpenter and a United States Army Veteran. He was also a member of Flat Lick Cumberland Presbyterian Church where he served as an elder and treasurer for many years.
Survivors include his wife: Nellie Mae Hardy Kennedy of Hopkinsville, KY; his sons, David Allen Kennedy and James Wesley Kennedy both of Christian County, Kentucky; his daughters, Annetta Darline Osteen of Hopkinsville, Kentucky and Sandra Leona Litchfield of Christian County, Kentucky. Eight grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
