Jenny Ellen Hendrix Ladd, age 83, of Hopkinsville, passed away on Sunday, October 13, 2024, at Jennie Stuart Health of natural causes. The family has chosen cremation with a Celebration of Life Service to be held on Thursday, October 17, at 4:00 PM at Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home. Visitation will be at Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home Thursday, October 17, 2024, from 1:30 PM until 4:00 PM. Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home has been entrusted by the family to handle the arrangements.
Mrs. Ladd was born in Christian County, on September 12, 1941, the daughter of the late John H. and Louise Cook Hendrix. Jenny Ellen retired from Bank of America as a teller. She was a charter member of Millbrooke Christian Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, John Furman Ladd in 2023, her brother Jimmy Hendrix and her sister Betty Doss.
Survivors include her son, Chris Ladd (Nikki Brinnon) of Hopkinsville; her daughter, Jo Ellen Ladd Hageman (Darryl) of Hopkinsville; her sister, Ginger Lee (Mark) of Hopkinsville; her grandchildren, Joshua Glen Hageman, Justin Ryan Hageman (Ellie), John Andrew Ladd (Susan), Jordan Kyle Ladd (Chandler); her great-grandchildren, John Dawson Ladd, Foster Andrew Ladd, Charles Grant Ladd, Sawyer Hendrix Ladd, baby Hageman February, 2025 and baby Ladd April 2025; and several loving nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in her memory to Millbrooke Christian Church, 703 Country Club Lane, Hopkinsville, KY 42240.
