Bernadette Joyce Futrell, 78 of Crofton, KY died at 3:15 a.m. Wednesday, October 30, 2024 at Jennie Stuart Medical Center.
Funeral services will be 12:00 p.m. Thursday, November 7, 2024 at Dogwood Funerals & Cremations of Hopkinsville. Burial will follow in Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West. Visitation will be Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until the funeral hour.
A native of Columbus, OH she was born April 12, 1946 the daughter of the late Anthony Charovano and Ethel Herlein Charovano. She was the owner of Fruit Hill Grocery of 39 years. She was also a Walmart Associate for 10 years. She was a member of New Beginnings Pentecostal Church of Crofton.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: Bobby Junior Futrell; her step son: Russell “Rusty” Looney, Jr; her step daughter: Patricia Overton.
Survivors include her children: Sharon (Steven) Gruber of Haddonfield, NJ; Earl R. Miller, Jr. of Cherry Hill, NJ; Thomas James Looney of Hopkinsville, KY; her grandchildren: Jessica (Zack) Townsend, Zachary Gruber, Lauren Miller, Caroline Miller, Anthony (Samantha) Looney and Kyle (Brandi) Overton and Allison Looney; her great grandchildren: Blake, Chase, Acari, Amelia, Charlee, Crewston and William.
