OAK GROVE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – Public Works Director, Brian Ahart provided several updates on future developments at the Oak Grove City Council meeting Tuesday, Jan. 7, including first updates on the development of Buc-ee’s.

Although there are few known details on the future mega gas station and convenience store, Buc-ee’s should be starting construction this summer, according to Ahart. “Hopefully there is an opening date of fall 2026,” Ahart told Christian County Now.

The announcement of Buc-ee’s first came during a city council meeting on Sept. 17 2024. Angela Janik, a project coordinator with Buc-ee’s attended the meeting saying, “On behalf of Buc-ee’s, we are super excited to be a part of the Oak Grove community, and we are looking forward to it. It’s been a long time coming.”

The location is still planned off of Highway 115 at Exit 89.
