HOPKINSVILLE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – Despite consistent snowfall throughout the day, the majority of main roads in Christian County are clear of snow. Coordinated pretreatment of roads and plowing by the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet and Hopkinsville Public Works has paid off as it continues to snow into the night.

However, updates from the Christian County Sheriff’s Office show that secondary roads throughout the county, especially farther north are covered in snow and slush. Visibility on roadways will also be limited as flakes continue to fall until late Friday.

Temperatures are expected to drop tonight, which may cause leftover moisture on roads and bridges to freeze. Hopkinsville Police Department is also urging the public to slow down and turn on their lights if they decided to go out.
