HOPKINSVILLE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – The Christian County Sheriff’s Office responded to a shooting overnight in Hopkinsville on Carl Smith Road.
The shooting occurred around 3 a.m., according to a report from the Sheriff’s Office. The 30-year-old victim was sitting inside his car getting ready to leave for work when multiple shots were fired into his vehicle. The suspect is currently unknown.

The victim sustained non-life-threatening injuries to his lower leg and was transported to Jennie Stuart Medical Center.
“Detectives are actively investigating the scene and talking with residents and possible witnesses to determine the identity of the suspect(s) and the motive behind the shooting,” the Sheriff’s Office said.
