HOPKINSVILLE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – A large, all-in-one pet adoption event is happening on Oct. 21 hosted by the Christian County Sheriff’s Office.
They will be teaming up with multiple, local pet rescues for what they are calling the Paws and Claws Adoption Extravaganza. Animals will be available for adoption from Christian County Animal Shelter, Max’s Hope, the Humane Society, Moving Mountains for Mastiffs, and Haven 12:10 Animal Sanctuary.
“One of the main benefits of this event will be bringing all of our local shelters to one location at the same time to showcase their pets that are currently up for adoption,” said a release from the Sheriff’s Office.
The event will also feature food trucks, music and door prizes. Free nail clipping and $8 microchipping for pets will also be available. This is open to the community and to anyone looking to adopt. The Paws and Claws event will take place at the Sheriff’s Office at 701 W. Seventh St. in Hopkinsville from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Oct. 21.
