OAK GROVE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – The City of Oak Grove is providing four large, free dumpsters for residents to discard trash on March 1-2.
Over the past two years, the city has provided dumpsters gathering 100,000 pounds extra of trash and junk. According to Oak Grove Public Works, each dumpster can hold 10,000 pounds of trash. This year, the city has decided to provide an extra one for even more waste removal.
The dumpsters will be placed at Wades Way Park and the old USA Video Store on Pembroke Oak Grove Road between 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Residents are encouraged to utilize the dumpsters and help their neighbors clean up as well. The city reminds citizens that trash must be placed in the dumpsters and not beside them, and no appliances or chemicals will be accepted.
