HOPKINSVILLE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – The Museums of Historic Hopkinsville-Christian County alongside Visit Hopkinsville and Milkweed Health and Harmony Emporium, are hosting a weekend full of activities to celebrate the work of well known, local psychic Edgar Cayce. The events begin March 21 through March 23.

Born in Christian County in 1877, Edgar Cayce displayed great gifts of clairvoyance that he used to help thousands of people overcome health and other problems, according to a news release. Widely known as the “Sleeping Prophet,” Cayce is credited at being an early force in holistic medicine and in the New Age movement. His lifetime work continues to provide healthy living goals, spiritual ideals, and life lessons today.

Special presenters Jessica Newell and Mallory Key will be part of the weekend’s events. Newell, an archivist, historian and writer is the Director of the Edgar Cayce Foundation and the Library of the Association for Research and Enlightenment in Virginia Beach. Since 2018, she has studied Edgar Cayce through his archive of over 14,000 readings and historic records. Key is a professional astrologer accredited with the American Federation for Astrologers. Bringing more than 15 years of experience, Key brings insight into the astral influences that affect our daily lives.

Learning sessions will be held on Friday and Saturday evenings and Saturday and Sunday mornings. Saturday afternoon will feature a variety of activities that connect Edgar Cayce’s story to his hometown.
