HOPKINSVILLE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – The Tree of Life Cancer Care Fund has shifted its focus to breast cancer awareness in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. People in Christian County are encouraged to donate in honor of survivors and loved ones.

The fund is open year-round and helps support the state-of-the-art cancer treatment and care provided by the E.C. Green Cancer Center in Hopkinsville. Sarah Francis from the Jennie Stuart Foundation said, “This fund assists patients in overcoming common barriers to timely and appropriate care by providing assistance with transportation, medications and other unmet needs that make it difficult for patients to focus on healing.”

Since October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the foundation is encouraging people who have been affected by breast cancer to consider making a donation this month to recognize survivors or honor the memory of a loved one.

The staff at Jennie Stuart is also encouraged to wear pink every Friday in October in support of Breast Cancer Awareness. To find out how you can donate, visit the foundation website.
