HOPKINSVILLE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – On Tuesday, a single vehicle collision involving two occupants injured a teenager. The vehicle was travelling northbound near the 6000 block of Johnson Mill Road, when it ran off of the left side of the roadway due to driver fatigue, according to a collision report from the Christian County Sheriff’s Office.

After leaving the roadway, the vehicle continued traveling along a ditch for around 300 feet and then struck a utility pole guide wire. This caused the vehicle to go airborne for about 50 feet, landing in the front yard of a residence. The driver was ejected from the vehicle after it reportedly bounced off the ground and flipped.

Deputies and the Lacey Volunteer Fire Department located the 17-year-old driver in the grass with visible injuries on his neck and back. He was taken to Jennie Stuart Medical Center to be treated.
