HOPKINSVILLE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – Hopkinsville Electric System and EnergyNet is sponsoring a photo contest for their yearly calendar that allows local photographers to show off their work.
Every holiday season the calendar is distributed to HES/EN customers, and exclusively features photos taken in Christian County. Photographers not only have the chance to get featured in the calendar, but the first-place winner also receives $300. A second and third place cash prize is also given.
Robert Kiefer with HES says that every year since they started the contest, they get flooded with hundreds of entries from amateur, and professional photographers in the area. They used to distribute stock calendars every year but saw this as an opportunity to connect with the community and feature photos people will recognize from around the county.
People can register for the contest until the end of October on the HES/EN website.
