HOPKINSVILLE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – The Book-A-Bike program in Hopkinsville allows people in the community to enjoy biking around town for just $1. The program has existed for a few years and has since expanded to many locations around town.
The Hopkinsville Public Library has bikes available for rent during business hours. They partnered with Parks and Recreation to supply adult, youth and training wheel bikes and helmets to the public. Adults can check out a limited number of bikes for $1 each at the front desk of the library with a library card or ID. Plus, the library is conveniently located right next to the Hopkinsville Greenway, which would be a great place to ride this fall.
Bike rentals are also available at Planters Bank-Jennie Stuart Health Sportsplex Hopkinsville and the Hopkinsville YMCA. Both of these locations have ample space for people to ride around.
