HOPKINSVILLE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – The Pennyroyal Arts Council announced that multi-platinum country music singer-songwriter Deana Carter will headline the 11th Annual Hoptown Holiday Hopfest on Nov. 22 at the Alhambra Theatre.
Across her career, Carter has released 14 singles, including three number one hits on the Billboard Country charts: “Strawberry Wine,” “We Danced Anyway,” and “How Do I Get There.”
Carter burst onto the country music scene with her 1996 debut album, Did I Shave My Legs for This?, which went certified five-time Multi-Platinum in the United States. She followed with Everything’s Gonna Be Alright (1998), I’m Just a Girl (2003), The Story of My Life (2005), and The Chain (2007).
Over the past decade, Hopfest has raised more than $140,000, directly supporting the Pennyroyal Arts Council’s mission to bring world-class entertainment to the community and to sustain the Alhambra Theatre as a vibrant cultural hub.
