HOPKINSVILLE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – The HES/EnergyNet night Christmas parade will march through downtown on Dec. 13 at 5:15 p.m. with a “Christmas Vacation” theme. Downtown Hopkinsville will light up during the parade with floats, marching bands, community groups, and local organizations putting their own personal spin on the theme.

This year’s grand marshal will be Derrick Watson, President and CEO of Hopkinsville Water Environmental Authority. After 28 years of service at HWEA, he will be retiring at the end of 2025 shortly after being honored in the parade.

“The Night Christmas Parade is one of Hopkinsville’s most cherished traditions,” said Hopkinsville Parks
and Recreation Superintendent Toby Hudson. “We look forward to seeing our community come
together and showcase their holiday spirit with this year’s fun and family-friendly theme.”

Floats, vehicles, bands, golf carts, and more are welcome to enter the parade for an entry fee of
$20.00 and a toy donation. Entry forms can be picked up and submitted at the Thomas Street
Recreation Center.
