HOPKINSVILLE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – Families are invited to celebrate the holidays at Jeffers Bend Environmental Center during the 13th annual Christmas at the Bend on Saturday, Dec. 6. The event runs from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and is expected to draw up to 200 children and community members.
During the festive event, families can enjoy refreshments, including homemade cookies, hot chocolate and hot apple cider. Activities will include the following.
- Make Christmas cards for local nursing homes.
- Visit with Santa Claus and Mrs. Claus.
- Create recycled crafts and learn how to feed birds in winter.
- Kids games with prizes.
- Hear firefighters and law enforcement officers share holiday safety tips.
