TRAFFIC ALERT: Crash on interstate blocks traffic in Oak Grove

A wreck on the interstate is impacting traffic Friday morning in Oak Grove.

Updated 9:22 a.m. The wreck has been cleared off the roadway, and the interstate is open to traffic.

Previously:

OAK GROVE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – I-24 eastbound in Christian County currently is blocked at Exit 86 due to a crash.

At 7:25 a.m. on Friday, the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet reported that the eastbound on-ramps to I-24 are blocked at both Exits 86 and 89 in Oak Grove. Eastbound traffic on I-24 is being detoured off the interstate onto U.S. 41 A

The Christian County Sheriff’s Office says the accident may take up to two hours to clear. Details about the accident have not been released at this time.
