HOPKINSVILLE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – On Saturday, Nov. 4, Hopkinsville Solid Waste Enterprise Recycling is hosting a household hazardous waste collection from 8 a.m.-noon at the Hopkinsville Recycling Center located on 5246 Mt. Zoar Latham Road.
Upon arrival, citizens will complete a survey about the items they have brought and staff will unload the items.
A variety of items can be brought to recycle including: ammonia, anti-freeze, arts and crafts supplies, batteries, bleachers, cesspool cleaners, floor cleaners, jars of liquid mercury, mercury thermometers, metal polish, oil-based paints, old chemistry sets and much more.
Water based paints and used motor oil is not accepted at this event. However, citizens can contact the recycling center at 270-887-6245 or email epowell@hswa.us on recycling those items.
