Hopkinsville, KY – Dogs and cats of all ages, breeds, sizes are waiting to be adopted at the Christian County Animal Shelter. The shelter is at 2935 Russellville Road, and the phone number is 270-887-4175. Business hours are Tuesday-Saturday from 10:30 a.m.-4 p.m. and the shelter is closed for lunch from 12:30-1 p.m.

Lou is a 6-year, 3-month-old white domestic shorthair with a calm, easygoing nature and plenty of love to give. He came to the shelter alongside his housemate when their previous family had to move and couldn’t take them along. Despite the change, Lou has adjusted well and is ready to find a new place to call home.

Lou gets along nicely with both cats and dogs, making him a great addition to a multi-pet household. While his experience with children is unknown, his gentle demeanor suggests he may do well with a proper introduction. He’s fully litterbox trained and already neutered and microchipped, so he’s all set for a smooth transition into his new family.

Lou has received his first round of vaccinations, as well as dewormer and flea and tick treatment, helping ensure he’s healthy and ready for adoption. He is a NO CHARGE adoption. He is partially sponsored by PAWS in Lyon County, Inc. If you’re looking for a sweet, steady companion to share your home with, Lou might be the perfect match.

Meet Albert! He is a 1-year-old Golden Retriever/Great Pyrenees mix, bringing you a whole lot of love in a very big package—He weighs about 103 pounds! That just means there’s more of him to lean on you, follow you around, and be your loyal best friend.

He would do best as the only pet in the home so he can soak up every bit of love you have to give. And trust me, He can give it right back tenfold. He is the kind of dog who wants to be right by your side, whether we’re relaxing at home or just hanging out together.

He is still young and full of life, with a big personality to match my size. With the right home and a little guidance, He is going to be an amazing companion who’s devoted, loving, and always ready to brighten your day. His adoption fee is $115 plus tax—pretty small for a whole lot of dogs and a lifetime best friend!
