OAK GROVE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – Three Oak Grove residents were arrested Tuesday afternoon after their home with several children was deemed to be unsafe.

On April 28, deputies with the Christian County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to their residence on Banks Road in Oak Grove for a welfare check on six juveniles. A walk through of the home was conducted, and deputies found animal feces on the ground, a large hole in the floor that was covered in plywood, holes through the walls into the exterior, a leaking ceiling, exposed wires and mold, according to CCSO.

The arrest report says deputies determined the home had not had electricity for four years, and the residents were relying on an external generator with a cooler placed outside to store limited food.

A 24-year-old man, 35-year-old woman, and another 48-year-old woman were all arrested and transported to Christian County Jail and charged with Wanton Endangerment 1st Degree.
