Suspect crashes into tanker truck during police pursuit in Hopkinsville

The Hopkinsville Fire Department responded to a fiery crash on Fort Campbell Boulevard that left a suspect injured.

HOPKINSVILLE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – A police pursuit that ended in Hopkinsville resulted in a fiery crash Saturday afternoon on Fort Campbell Boulevard.

Emergency crews responded to the crash on June 27 around 4:30 p.m., according to Payton Rogers with Hopkinsville Fire/EMS. Christian County dispatch reported that a vehicle was fleeing law enforcement and collided with the back of a tanker truck that was preparing to turn onto Fort Campbell Boulevard heading southbound.

A fire broke out during the crash, which was quickly extinguished by HFD. Rogers told Christian County Now that the driver of the vehicle was apprehended by local law enforcement and was ultimately transported to Vanderbilt Clarksville with non-life-threatening injuries.
