Updated 5:40 p.m. Suspects connected to the shooting are in custody, with the Hopkinsville Police Department sharing more information about the shooting Monday afternoon.
Officers responded to Rural King in response to reports of two individuals running through the parking lot after shots were fired, according to Public Information Officer Justin Rios. Upon arrival, officers quickly located and detained both individuals involved.
The victim sustained gunshot wounds to the leg and groin. Rios says the investigation is ongoing.

HOPKINSVILLE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – A man was severely injured after being shot multiple times Monday afternoon in Hopkinsville.
At 3:15 on June 29, emergency services were dispatched to the 4000 block of Fort Campbell Boulevard near the Rural King and Bradford Square Mall area in response to shots fired.

An adult male who had been shot three times was found, according to Payton Rogers with EMS. He was transported via ambulance to a helicopter for additional treatment at Skyline Medical Center in Nashville.
