HOPKINSVILLE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – Neveah Gill was born on May 30, 2007, and died on June 23, 2026. She was a Christian County High School graduate, participating in FFA and the Black Student Union during her time there. Gill was set to be sworn into the military on June 29, just days after her death, according to her obituary from Adams & Sons Mortuary.

Around 11:30 p.m. on June 22, Hopkinsville EMS responded to Eagle Crossing Apartments at the 3000 block of Calvin Drive for a reported shooting. 19-year-old Gill was found with multiple gunshot wounds, and later died from her injures.

Three suspects were arrested by Hopkinsville Police in connection to her death. De’Quavion Bronaugh is being charged with murder, tampering with evidence, and wanton endangerment.

The two other suspects, Dereon Sharp and Jervontae Bussell, are both only facing burglary charges at this time. Details about the events leading up to the gunfire have not been released at this time. HPD says it remains an ongoing investigation.

Gill’s funeral services will be held today, July 1, at Adams & Sons Mortuary, and she will be buried at Cave Springs Cemetery.
