HOPKINSVILLE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – There are plenty of chances to get out into the community this weekend with a lineup of fun events in Hopkinsville. Visit the library for their summer reading program finale, watch a Hoptown Hoppers game, enjoy a movie in the park and more.

Splash Day

  • Where: Christian Way Farm & Mini Golf in Hopkinsville
  • When: July 11, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.

  • Details: Splash Day at Christian Way Farm will feature a full day of family-friendly water fun, including a giant water slide, bubble stations and kiddie pools. Guests can also enjoy the farm’s regular activities such as feeding and petting animals, riding the lawnmower train, playing in the corn truck and exploring outdoor play areas.

Summer Reading Program Finale Party

  • Details: The Hopkinsville-Christian County Public Library will wrap up its Summer Reading Program with a messy, family-friendly finale featuring splatter painting, tie-dye, water games, digging activities, mud play and a foam party. Participants are encouraged to wear clothes that can get messy. The event will also include raffles for summer reading prizes, with all reading logs due by 6 p.m. on July 17.

Book & Plant Swap

  • Details: The Book & Bottle Shop will host a community book swap with a special plant swap edition. Participants can bring wrapped books to exchange in a “Dirty Santa”-style swap, with opportunities to trade books after they are opened. Guests may also bring healthy plants, cuttings or pups to swap with fellow plant enthusiasts. Participants can join either the book swap, the plant swap or both.

Pickin’ & Sippin’ at MB Roland Distillery

  • Where: MB Roland Distillery in Pembroke

  • Details: MB Roland Distillery will host its family-friendly Pickin’ & Sippin’ event featuring live music by The A-Train, food trucks, yard games, a pet adoption event with Max’s Hope, disc golf activities and a cigar concierge. Guests can also enjoy cocktails, beer and adult slushies from the MB Roland bar, along with sno-cones for children. The event is free to attend, with music beginning at 6:30 p.m.

Movie Night in the Park

  • Details: The Durrett Avenue Neighborhood Association will host a free Movie Night in the Park featuring the 2026 film GOAT. Festivities begin at 6 p.m., with the movie starting at dusk. Attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and blankets for an evening of family-friendly entertainment under the stars. Food vendors will also be on-site.

Hoptown Hoppers vs. Madisonville Miners

  • Where: Hopkinsville High School Tiger Field
