CHRISTIAN COUNTY, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – A man was arrested Tuesday night after leading deputies with the Christian County Sheriff’s Office on a pursuit.
On Aug. 4 at 8:04 pm deputies attempted to stop a vehicle driven by 38-year-old Jordan Satterfield of Hopkinsville on Greenville Road, but he did not stop and fled at around 65 mph. The suspect ran through stop signs and initially travelled westbound on East Seventh Street.
The pursuit came to an end on Christian Quarry Road when the suspect’s vehicle hit a large rock located at the Pennyroyal Scuba Center. Satterfield then exited to flee on foot, but he quickly surrendered after he ran up a hill and was successfully apprehended, according to a news release from CCSO.
He was taken into custody and was determined to not have a license, the vehicle was being used without the owner’s permission, and he had warrants out for his arrest for probation violation and failure to appear. According the arrest report, the property owner is pursuing prosecution for damages.
The suspect was charged with several traffic violations along with fleeing or evading police, no operator’s license and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.
