HOPKINSVILLE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – Police investigated after a man was shot twice overnight on Monday in Hopkinsville.
Just after 3 a.m. on Aug. 10, officers with the Hopkinsville Police Department responded to shots fired near the 500 block of West 16th Street near Phelps Avenue, according to news partner Dash 10 Media. Crime scene tape cordoned off the area while the scene was investigated.
Captain Payton Rogers with Hopkinsville Fire/EMS reports that the victim was a 20-year-old man who had been shot two times, with wounds in both arms. He was transported to a Nashville hospital via AirEvac helicopter in stable, but serious condition.
HPD says the investigation is ongoing and anyone with information regarding this incident should contact ECC at 270-890-1300.
