HOPKINSVILLE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – For the first weekend in October there are a few events to check out in Hopkinsville. Head downtown for the first festive night market, do some yoga in the park, or audition for this year’s Christmas play.

Pumpkins, Spice & Everything Nice: A Festive Night Market

  • When: Oct. 2, 5–8 p.m.
  • Where: Virginia Park, Hopkinsville
  • Cost: Free
  • Details: The festive night market will feature food, drinks, local shopping, artisans, makers and small businesses. The event is part of a series of fall Friday markets also scheduled for October 9, 23 and 30.

Yoga in the Park

  • When: October 3, 10 a.m.
  • Where: Rotary Park, Hopkinsville
  • Cost: Not provided
  • Details: Enjoy an outdoor yoga session surrounded by nature at Rotary Park. Participants can bring their mats and enjoy a morning of movement and relaxation in the park.

A Christmas Carol: The Musical Auditions

  • When: Oct. 4, 2-6 p.m.
  • Where: 401 West Ninth Street, Hopkinsville
  • Details: Campanile Productions and the Pennyroyal Arts Council are holding auditions for the 2026 production of A Christmas Carol, The Musical. Actors ages 8 and older should prepare a 16–32 bar cut of a song and bring a karaoke or other track for accompaniment. Audition slots and registration are available through the production’s website.
