CHRISTIAN COUNTY, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – October has arrived in Western Kentucky, bringing cooler temperatures, pumpkins, corn mazes, hayrides and plenty of opportunities for families to spend a day on the farm.

Here are some places to consider taking the family to this fall, whether you are looking to stay local or travel a bit outside of Christian County.

Christian Way Farm & Mini Golf: Hopkinsville, Kentucky

For a fall outing close to home, Christian Way Farm & Mini Golf in Hopkinsville transforms its farm into a fall destination with pumpkins, a corn maze, hayrides and a hay castle. Visitors can also interact with farm animals, play in the corn truck, enjoy playgrounds and other activities, or play the farm-themed mini-golf course.

Pumpkins can be purchased from the patch or around the barn and store. The farm also offers fall food options at the Christian Way Cafe.

Trunnell’s Market & Farm Experience: Utica, Kentucky

Trunnell’s Market & Farm’s 2026 Fall Farm Experience runs through Nov. 8, with more than 30 attractions, animal barnyards, a bird aviary, food and seasonal activities. The farm’s Pumpkin Season includes a U-Pick Pumpkin Patch, Pumpkin Town and other fall attractions, with more than 10,000 pumpkins available throughout the season.

Trunnell’s also has special nighttime events planned on select October dates, including a nighttime corn maze, moonlit wagon rides to the pumpkin patch and glowing pumpkin displays.

Jackson’s Orchard & Nursery: Bowling Green, Kentucky

Jackson’s Orchard & Nursery is a destination for a full fall experience. Their Pumpkin Festival weekends continue through October where visitors can take wagon rides to the pumpkin patch and corn maze, pick their own pumpkins and apples, visit the petting zoo and enjoy pony rides and other activities.

The orchard also highlights fall favorites such as fresh apple cider, caramel apples, fried pies and other seasonal foods along with their large playground.

Penny Pumpkin Patch: Murray, Kentucky

Penny Pumpkin Patch features dozens of pumpkin varieties, along with a restored historic Penny Grocery building that provides a unique backdrop for the perfect fall photos. The patch has grown from a small family operation into a seasonal destination featuring pumpkins, gourds and family activities.

On Oct. 10 and Oct. 24, admission will give access to hayrides, the corn maze, a petting zoo, bouncy house, games and more, with pumpkins available any date this fall.

Ruby Branch Farms: Franklin, Kentucky

Ruby Branch Farms fall season includes a U-Pick pumpkin patch, where visitors can take a wagon and cutters into the field and pay for the pumpkins they pick. Children can also enjoy the farm’s playground at no admission cost.

Families can explore a six-acre corn maze along with a 1.5-acre “Spookley the Square Pumpkin” soybean maze designed with younger children in mind with a playground as well for kids and plenty of photo opportunities.

Just Piddlin’ Farm: Woodburn, Kentucky

Just Piddlin’ Farm features a corn maze, hayrides, pumpkin patch, giant pumpkin bounce pad, corn box, geodome climber, straw tower, farm animals, playground, duck races and animals.

The farm also has special fall-break and themed weekends during the 2026 season.

Boyd’s Pumpkin Patch: Adams, Tennessee

Not far across the state line into Tennessee, Boyd’s Pumpkin Patch has their opening season at their new location where families can pick pumpkins and try their corn maze.

Boyd’s has been growing pumpkins since 1984, and what started as a one-man operation has grown into the family business it is today.
