HOPKINSVILLE, KY – Hopkinsville Water Environment Authority (HWEA) has issued a Boil Water Advisory effective Oct. 8 at 9:45 a.m., due to utility work associated with the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet’s US 68/West Seventh Street widening project.

Affected areas include:

  • Rose Drive
  • Hill Street
  • Tropicana Court
  • Peace Court
  • Wildwood Drive
  • Westside Court
  • 1529–1539 West Seventh Street
  • 500 and 502 Disposal Plant Road

Affected customers should bring water to a full rolling boil for at least three minutes before using it for drinking, cooking, making ice, brushing teeth or preparing food. Bottled water may also be used.

Customers should also expect a temporary interruption in water service while work is completed. The advisory will remain in effect until repairs are complete and water quality testing confirms the water is safe. HWEA will notify customers when the advisory is lifted.
