HOPKISNVILLE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – Hopkinsville Police were dispatched to Christian County Middle School for a man who had been previously cited for trespassing at CCMS school grounds on Thursday afternoon.

When officers arrived, the suspect got in his car and was leaving the area. After conducting a traffic stop in front of CCMS on Glass Avenue, the suspect failed to follow police commands, according to reports. Once on the ground, the suspect began to resist and would not allow officers to put handcuffs on him.

Police searched the vehicle after detecting an odor of marijuana. A blunt, pill container, and a clear baggie with white powder were found in the vehicle.

The man was arrested and charged with second-degree criminal trespassing, resisting arrest, first-degree possession of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana, and no registration plates.
