HOPKINSVILLE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – A man threw a brick through the front window of his ex-girlfriend’s house which led to an altercation Saturday afternoon.
The incident occurred on Sanderson Drive in Hopkinsville, says a report from the Hopkinsville Police Department. After the window was shattered, a male resident came out of the home to see what was going on. Then a physical altercation started between them.
Officers report that at some point during the fight, the suspect pulled a neighbor’s metal mailbox out of the ground and began hitting the other man with it. The victim of the assault was injured, and the mailbox was damaged.
The suspect is being charged with assault and criminal mischief.
