HOPKINSVILLE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – A Hopkinsville woman was charged with burglary after forcibly entering a house on Henderson Drive on Tuesday morning.

According to police reports, the owner of the house called authorities after the woman broke in through the back door. Upon arrival, officers found a trail of blood on the floor leading from the back door to the victim’s bedroom. There was also a pane of broken glass, and various glass decorations scattered throughout the home.

A Ring doorbell on the back door showed the suspect knock, and then break the glass with her hand before entering. The suspect went straight to the bedroom, where her husband and the homeowner were. Police say, the suspect got into a fight with her husband.

The woman fled with her husband and was found a short time later. She was arrested and charged with second-degree burglary and third-degree criminal mischief.
