HOPKINSVILLE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – On Thursday, Jan. 4, a man was arrested and charged after strangling a woman and violating his no contact order at Ashwood Village apartments in Northeast Hopkinsville.
According to reports, an argument escalated between the two when the suspect punched the victim in the face. The suspect then attacked the victim and chocked her to the point where she lost consciousness.
When the victim regained consciousness, she contacted HPD. Police located the suspect down Greenville Road, and he was apprehended behind Forest Park Boulevard.
The suspect was arrested and charged with first-degree strangulation and violation of Kentucky EPO/DVO. He was transported to Christian County Jail.
