HOPKINSVILLE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – After weekend downpours, many roads in Christian County were still affected by flooding on Aug. 28. The Christian County Emergency Managment team posted that multiple roads were still impassable due to high water.

They have warned against using Julien Newstead, Julien Road, Elmo Road, Brady Lane, Pyle/Coxmill, Bumpus Mill, Stone Valley/Springmont, and Buffalo/Gracey-Sinking Fork.

It was unclear how long it would take to subside, but the public is warned that it is never safe to attempt to drive through floodwaters.
