HOPKINSVILLE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – Overnight in Hopkinsville, a thin layer of ice formed beneath a light dusting of snow, causing slippery conditions on various roads Friday morning.

While the snow is expected to cease, the road conditions in many neighborhoods are difficult. Christian County Public Schools are closed and many offices are opening on delayed start times.

With a low dropping back down to 5 degrees tonight and wind chills as low as -8 expected, a Wind Chill Advisory has been issued from 9 p.m. Friday to 9 a.m. Saturday.

Sunday will be warmer with a high of 30 degrees. Conditions should improve on Monday with a high of 44 and partly sunny skies.
