HOPKINSVILLE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – The Hopkinsville Police Department released that missing Hopkinsville teenager Kimera Trea was located safely, while the search continues for Amanda Henderson.
Both of the 16-year-old girls were reported missing on Dec. 5 from a home on Denzil Drive. According to HPD, Kimera was located in New York at 4:30 E.T. on Jan. 12.
The father of Amanda previously spoke with Christian County Now, sharing that the two girls were very close, and Kimera had recently moved in with them. Security footage from their home shows the two girls leaving on Dec. 5 after they were cooking together, even returning once to turn off the burners. Since that day, there have been a few reports of possible places they have stayed, and it is suspected that they are being assisted by friends and likely have access to social media.
HPD insists that anyone who has had contact with either of the girls should contact ECC (270-890-1300) directly to help investigators ensure that all information is properly documented and assist in establishing an accurate timeline following their disappearance. Individuals aiding in their willful absence or hindering their return may face criminal charges and prosecution.
