HOPKINSVILLE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – A Hopkinsville man is dead after his car was pushed into a tree by another vehicle. The accident occurred Friday evening on Bill Bryan Boulevard, according to a Hopkinsville Police crash report.
Another vehicle was turning onto Billy Bryan Boulevard near the Metalsa building when it struck his car. The force from the crash pushed his car off the roadway and into a tree.
The car that hit him landed in a field nearby and was severely damaged. Officers on scene report smelling marijuana. The driver was life flighted to Vanderbilt University Hospital, and both of the passengers were taken to Jennie Stuart Health with minor injuries.
After hitting the tree, the man’s car was extremely damaged with him trapped inside. After being mechanically extricated, he was pronounced dead.
