HOPKINSVILLE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – A teenager was shot and injured Sunday night with a suspect still at large.
On Feb. 15 around 8 p.m., emergency services were dispatched to the 100 block of North Kentucky Avenue in response to shots fired. Nathan Stewart with Hopkinsville Fire/EMS says that upon arrival, emergency crews found a juvenile with a gunshot wound to their right thigh.
According to Hopkinsville Police, the victim was a 16-year-old who sustained non-life-threatening injuries. No arrests have been made in connection to the shooting.
The teenager was transported to a helicopter to be evacuated to a hospital in Evansville, Indiana for further treatment. Anyone with information about the shooting can reach out to ECC at (270) 890-1300.
