HOPKINSVILLE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – Hopkinsville High School has announced they are adding two more people to the 2025-26 Hall of Fame. This comes after the class of over a dozen inductees was announced in late November.
Craig “Blade” Walters and Dr. Larry Long will both be included in the final HHS Hall of Fame class. A news release from HHS Athletics says, “Both individuals have made profound, lasting contributions to Hopkinsville Athletics, and it is fitting that they be honored as Hall of Fame members as we approach the closing chapter of Hopkinsville High School.”
Walters is described as one of the most devoted Tiger supporters throughout his lifetime, with HHS saying he embodies the spirit and pride of Hopkinsville Athletics with unmatched enthusiasm. They also recognize Long for providing exceptional care while faithfully serving as team physician for more than two decades.
“Their induction reflects not only their remarkable service, but also the deep appreciation of an entire community. Hopkinsville High School is honored to recognize their enduring legacy,” said HHS. An inductee ceremony will be held on Jan. 16 at the Tiger Gym at 6 p.m. Other previously announced inductees for the Planters Bank-Hopkinsville High School Hall of Fame are as follows.
