HOPKINSVILLE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – Hopkinsville Police are investigating a shooting in downtown Hopkinsville that hospitalized two people early Tuesday.
Public Information Officer Justin Rios told Christian County that HPD received a shots fired call just before 1 a.m. on March 10. Officers were dispatched to the 900 block of East 13th Street, where several shell casings were found and a nearby vehicle was damaged with gunfire.
After the investigation was initiated, HPD was informed that two adults arrived at Jennie Stuart Medical Center with gunshot wounds. One of the adults sustained serious injuries and was moved to an out of state hospital once they were stabilized. The other person was treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
HPD says this is an ongoing investigation, and anyone who information about the incident is encouraged to call ECC at 270-890-1300.
