HOPKINSVILLE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – The Hopkinsville Fire Department was called to rescue two people who had driven a vehicle into rising rain water on Fort Campbell Boulevard.
According to Payton Rogers with HFD, a pickup truck was submerged in a rain filled ditch between Clarion Pointe and Litte Ceasars Pizza. Both people were successfully removed from the vehicle.
The accident occurred after a sudden downpour flooded the roadway, which impeded traffic on Fort Campbell Boulevard around 4 p.m. on Thursday.
