HOPKINSVILLE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – The Hopkinsville Fire Department responded to a house fire Monday night around 8 p.m. after receiving a call about flames coming from the back of the home on Hope Street.
Two people were inside when the fire started but were able to self-evacuate in time, according to the Hopkinsville Fire Department. Firefighters on the scene were able to prevent the fire from spreading, and quickly contained the damage to the rear of the home.
No injuries were reported, and the residents of the home are receiving assistance by the local Red Cross until they can return to their home. The fire department is currently investigating the cause of the fire.
