HOPKINSVILLE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – Two local students will represent Christian County on the 2024 Kentucky All-Star basketball team that will compete in the Kentucky-Indiana All-Star games this summer.

Derrell Bateman from Christian County High School and Antonio Williams from Hopkinsville High School are both standout senior players with their school, according to a news release from Christian County Public Schools. The games are scheduled to be played at Lexington Catholic High School on June 7, and at the Bankers Life Arena on June 8. The team will be led by Jeff Morrow from Iroquois High School and assisted by DG Sherrill of Bowling Green High School.

“It’s an exciting opportunity for both young men to be chosen to represent their schools and the state,” said District Athletic Director Kerry Stovall. “To have two student athletes from CCPS in the same year is a great accomplishment. It is a top honor to be selected to play amongst the best of the best from our state. I know our student athletes will represent our schools, district and state with pride.”
