HOPKINSVILLE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – Four different fire departments responded to a large fire at an apartment complex on Pembroke Oak Grove Road around 4 a.m. today.

Visible flames and smoke were seen coming from the building when crews arrived, according to the Oak Grove Volunteer Fire Department. Additional resources had to be called in due to the nature of the fire. Pembroke Fire Department, Fairview Volunteer Fire Department, and Fort Campbell Fire Department and Emergency Services were all called in to assist.

Randy Graham with Christian County Emergency Management said the fire began in the kitchen of one of the units.

Four units in the apartment were considered a total loss. The families are currently displaced and are being assisted by the Red Cross. No injuries were reported from the residents or emergency responders.
