HOPKINSVILLE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) –People in Christian County are setting up their tables, cleaning out their houses, and dusting off their items in the garage to prepare for Kentucky’s annual 400 mile yard sale event along Highway 68.

This four-day event from June 6-9, spans 400 miles through all of the regions of Kentucky. Typically, participants travel from one end of Kentucky to the other, stopping in multiple counties, lodging at local hotels, and dining in at small town eateries. The 400 Mile website is featuring Ferrell’s Snappy Service and The Wood Shed in Hopkinsville for yard salers to check out.

“We just really want to bring people to this area and show them the amazing parts of Hopkinsville including the Trail of Tears, “said Amy Rogers, Executive Director at Visit Hopkinsville. “We also want to load them up with Hopkinsville goodies at our visitor center.” Visit Hopkinsville is helping sponsor the event, and Rogers thinks visitors can expect the most out of the batter capital of the world.

Currently in Christian County, 30 sites have registered to take part in the sale. Vintage items, arts and crafts, clothing, home goods, furniture and so much more can be found at each stop. “This list goes on and on for what a person can purchase during this event,” Rogers said.
