HOPKINSVILLE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – This fall, there are some beautiful local spots throughout Christian County from Oak Grove to Crofton that are free to explore as the leaves begin to change.

1. Trail of Tears Commemorative Park
The commemorative park and heritage center is located at 100 Trail of Tears Drive in Hopkinsville. This scenic park contains walking trails, historical elements, a playground, and disk golf course.


2. Jeffers Bend Environmental Center
At 1170 Metcalfe Lane in Hopkinsville, visitors can explore 40-acres of grassland with a beautiful lake, gardens, and around three miles of walking trails in the woods.


2. Gordon Park
This Crofton staple can be found at 13735 North Old Madisonville Road in Christian County, with large playgrounds, picnic areas, and walking trails around the scenic pond.


3. War Memorial Walking Trail
In Oak Grove, check out this beautiful walking trail among tall trees with a playground, pavilion, and disk golf course at 101 Walter Garrett Lane.


4. Hopkinsville Rail Trail
Stretching from downtown to Pardue Lane, the Greenway Rail Trail has several miles of tree lined walking paths, spanning across a large bridge overlooking part of Hopkinsville.
