HOPKINSVILLE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – Several simultaneous search warrants were executed in Hopkinsville recently, and six suspects were taken into custody. Several pounds of methamphetamine, thousands of dosage units of fentanyl, and thousands of dollars in cash were seized.

The Hopkinsville Police Department announced Friday that it collaborated with the DEA, ATF, Homeland Security, and US Postal inspector in a yearlong drug investigation leading up to the large bust in September.

A news release from the department says, “The case is being investigated by the DEA Paducah Post of Duty and the Hopkinsville Police Department Special Investigation Unit, with assistance from the ATF Bowling Green Field Office, HSI, USPIS, the Kentucky State Police, the Calloway County Sheriff’s Office, and the Madisonville Police Department.”

The suspects may be facing federal charges for the distribution of fentanyl and methamphetamine.
