HOPKINSVILLE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – While Thursday’s forecast has a high of around 34 degrees for Christian County, a sudden shift in temperature may finally get rid of lingering snow and ice.
“After a cooler day on Saturday, an extended period of above normal temperatures is forecast to begin on Sunday. Aside from remnant piles, the snow will be a distant memory by the end of the weekend,” said a statement from the National Weather Service in Paducah.

The high for Feb. 6 is expected to be in the low 50s with cloudy skies. Wind gusts upward of 18 mph and clouds may leave it still feeling chilly, but by Monday there will be clear skies and a high of 61 degrees. These warmer temperatures are expected to last through next week and will impact a large portion of the region.
NOAA Online Weather Data shows that this time last year, temperatures were also unseasonably warm, with a spike of 72 degrees reported in Hopkinsville on Feb. 3, 2025 followed by fluctuations ranging between 60 and 30 degrees. The average temperature for February in 2025 was 48 degrees, which NWS says is in normal range.
